About the School

Phuwiangwittayayon School (โรงเรียนภูเวียงวิทยายน) traces its origins to 1898, when the first public school in Khon Kaen province was established in the historic town of Phu Wiang. The school received its current royal-granted name, “Phuwiangwittayayon,” on August 5, 1932, from King Prajadhipok (Rama VII).

Today the school serves students from Matthayom 1 through 6 (grades 7–12) under the Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5, Ministry of Education.
